Wow. Posted Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 12:26 AM by TSH
Wow. It's simply all I can say.

This site has been around for ages. Almost eight years (in three days it will be eight years). It's probably been around 5 since I posted here.

This site has been through a ton, but it's still running. Spanning two webserver (Netfirms and Angelfire), it's amazingly stayed in tact. I cannot believe it.

I just found this site after forever, and I just am in amazement it's still alive.

It makes me want to revive this dinosaur of a site, to give it a much-needed breath of fresh air.

I know very little about the Pokémon universe - and the odds of anyone reading this message is slim to none - but I will give the attempt at reviving this old girl. Perhaps I will revive it to put it to sleep? Who knows?

The Party's Here! Posted Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:59 PM by TSH
Because the site is degrading around me and I cannot do a thing about it, I'm going to alternate into here. THIS is where the party's going to be at! From now until the site moves to a new server, this will be the new content. The site is now run solely by me, Master Annon, and DES. It's going to be great!

So... stick around. It's gonna be a great ride

Music crisis! Posted Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 6:51 PM by TSH
My host, Angelfire, began deleting files today. The music files are dissipating rapidly, so you can't enjoy the music any more. This isn't looking good, as this means that they will begin deleting the actual site's files (documents, etc)! I hope to resolve this crisis quickly!

Coming Soon! Posted Friday, April 11, 2003 at 4:35 PM by TSH
Pretty soon, I'll be moving to a new server (Netfirms) so that I can actually start updating. The bannerless past of Pokémon4Life has come to an end, unfortunately. I apologize for any inconveniences this has (or will cause!) caused you.

I'm Back! Posted Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 1:40 PM by TSH
I apologize for not updating in so long; My computer had "forgotten" how to connect to AOL, so we got a new computer. Anyways, since I now have AOL 8.0 and a newer, faster, better computer (eMachines 2.20 GHz), I can now update more So that's all for now!

Ruby Beaten? Posted Monday, March 24, 2003 at 12:22 PM by TSH
After 25 hours (of almost continuous) gameplay, I finally beat the Elite 4 on Pokémon Ruby. Though I admit a lot of it was a challenge, I finally got them beaten. After the Elite 4, I decided to try to complete my Pokédex. I've gotten several new Pokémon (mostly I evolved them), and I've also been entering competitions. I beat the MASTER Rank Cool Competition with my Taillow, and I'm raising several more Pokémon to win competitions. Currently, I'm raising several of my level 10 and under Pokémon to take on the Elite 4 once again, so that I may have even more monsters in the hall of fame. I may restart soon, and write up a walkthrough for the game, so that others may get through quickly and efficiently. Eventually, I'll post up my "Pokémon Gameboy Strategies", a special section that will give you info on how to beat the Pokémon games.

I have one ultra-rare Pokémon currently, and that is my Groudon.

I hope to be able to bring you more news soon!

PLEASE NOTE: Angelfire will not allow me to upload any more, because my site has inadvertently violated their Terms of Service.

Topsites Confusion?? Posted Sunday, March 16, 2003 at 7:46 PM by TSH
I was having lots of problems with the topsites lists I signed up for recently, and I just fixed them all. A couple of them weren't showing up, and a couple had linked me to the wrong ID number, so I was getting someone else ranks! It was embarrassing!

But I fixed them, and I reached 400 hits, so THANK YOU!!

THANK YOU!

I've been waiting for 400 (unique) hits for so long, and it's finally here! Thank you so much everybody!

New Affiliate and 6th Season News! Posted Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 11:44 AM by TSH
My site is now affiliated with the Beautiful World of Johto (top right)! It's an awesome site, and I like the way it looks. Go check it out!

Also new news about the sixth season!

Kids WB! aired two episodes that gave a sneak peek into the next season. The new female character is named Mae. She is introduced at the very beginning of the first aired sneak peek episode. Ash arrives - only accompanied by his Pikachu - in the region of Hoenn. Which raises a question for me! Where are Brock and Misty??

It turns out Pikachu was tortured or something against an electromagnet, causing it to be sick, and have the risk of exploding. Team Rocket saved the day - instead of ruining it - by draining all the bad electricity out of Pikachu and leaving the good energy.

Later, Mae got her first Pokémon - a Torchic. It turns out she doesn't even LIKE Pokémon, but that should all change as she is journeying with Ash now.

In the second episode, Mae sees an Azurill and tries to catch it by not weakening it, but just tossing a PokéBall. Of course, the Azurill broke out and Ash told Mae that she had to weaken before catching. Mae had Torchic try to fight, but they ran into Azurills family - a Marill and an Azumarill! Torchic was knocked out, but Pikachu scared the three water ypes away before they could do any more harm to Torchic.

Team Magma is introduced when they take Ash and Mae's newly befriended Professor who was studying the ruins of an ancient city. Ash and Mae rush after Team Magma, only to discover that this professor they befriended had found some ancient Pokémon! They were really good episodes, and you don't know what you missed if you didn't watch them.

If you have questions/comments, e-mail them to me.

Another TopSites! Posted Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 10:28 PM by TSH
I signed up for another TopSites - Pokemon706 Topsites. Underneath our first one, under "TopSites" (right).

Ruby Reserved! Posted Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at 7:00 PM by TSH
I reserved my copy of Pokémon Ruby today! I'm so excited! March 17th!!!!

With my reservation, I received a free holographic coin of Groudon. On the back of the coin's cardboard case, it says the following:

"Immerse yourself in the beautiful region of Hoenn, a place of masterful heroes and mysterious teams, of friendship and battles. As the new kid in town, you set off on your journey as a Pokémon Trainer. Who knows what wonders and dangers await you? Now it's time to grab your gear and head out on your own...

  • Between the games, over 200 Pokémon appear with over 100 new discovered species!

  • 2-on-2 battles--use two of your pokemon in battle at the same time!

  • Engage in intense multi battles with up to four friends*!

  • Pokémon Contests let you groom your pokemon to be the Best of Show!

  • With stunning Game Boy Advance graphics display the world of pokemon with more detail than ever!

There are some differences between pokemon ruby and sapphire, such as how often certain pokemon appear in each game. pokemon ruby and sapphire versions can only be linked to each other. They are NOT compatible with other pokemon versions or the Pokémon Stadium series.

*You'll need a Game Boy Advance Game Link cable and two to four Game Paks when you link up to trade or battle (Sold Seperately)."

NEW VERSION!!! Posted Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 7:01 PM by TSH
Yep, that's right, you're looking at the NEW Pokémon4Life! Current version 3.50.

This took me a while to do, so let me know what you think. Some pages are as-of-yet uncompleted, but will be soon.

Though the layout is completely different, you can still find that music on the site. Go down the navigation menu under "Other" and click "MUSIC ACTIVATOR". This will turn on the music for you to enjoy.

Coming Soon... Posted Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 6:27 PM by TSH
That's right, I'm currently in the process of upgrading all files on this website to site version 3.5. This version will remain in tact perhaps until version 4.5 comes along.

Along with this new version comes NO FRAMES, NEW NAVIGATION, and SELECTABLE MUSIC, meaning you can select whether to activate the music or not. This could come in handy for those who do not always wish to hear music.

I am redoing all the pages on the site, which will take some time, so therefore the actual site upload will not occur until the upgrade is complete. I hope you like the new changes

Tell your friends! Posted Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 12:14 PM by TSH
Tell your friends about my site! I'm coming sooo close to my goal of 400 hits by March 17th, 2003 (the release date of Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire)! Just about 100 more and I'll be there... And I can't do it without your help! Just tell everyone you know and I'll make it! Thanks so much for your help...

... And if you're just wondering... I want 400 hits because that's what the site was at before I mistakenly redid the site without keeping the old counter code intact, so I lost it all. But no bother! We can do it! I have total faith in you

--TSH--

P.S.: I'm planning on redoing my site's layout, giving users the option to have music or not. I figure it'll be more of a convenience than anything else... I haven't begun yet, because I'm still brainstorming ideas. It'll come to me... eventually.

Happy New Year! Posted Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at 10:14 AM by TSH

Merry Christmas! Posted Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at 9:49 PM by TSH
Merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and happy holidays to all of you! Thanks so much for visiting, and enjoy your Christmas and holiday season.

I'm bringing the Pokémon HTML Battler v1.0 out as a late Christmas present soon, so be ready for that. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Pokémon HTML Battler Posted Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 8:21 PM by TSH
The HTML Battler is almost complete! I'm just finishing up and fixing a few things and it should be operational. Though the program thinks too fast to always write properly, it should look pretty decent to make battles with. The main problem is that the HTML output is a little sloppy, so it appears "dirty", you might say, in the HTML. You will be able to see that after I finish and release a demo.

So sit tight, all is well and coming along!

Updates Posted Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 9:02 PM by TSH
I'm working on getting the site to have some layout updates. I'll see what I can do

InfoDex Posted Monday, December 9, 2002 at 6:12 PM by TSH
I'm starting a new project called "InfoDex", which will allow you to look up info on Pokémon video games, comic books, and more! It'll be done soon, I hope.

News News Posted Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 7:22 PM by TSH
The server I use to get my Ruby/Sapphire news is scheduled to be re-opened in a couple days. I'll be sure to let y'know more whenever I got more!

Ruby/Sapphire Posted Friday, December 6, 2002 at 7:43 PM by TSH
Sorry about not giving you updated info on Ruby and Sapphire! My news resource's bandwidth ran out, so I'm waiting for it to show back up. Until then... Sit back, relax, and enjoy some music!

Even more! Posted Friday, December 6, 2002 at 7:28 PM by TSH
I edited the look and feel of the music program a bit more. Plus I added a few songs. My goal is to reach 100. The database includes a large variety of songs, from Pokémon, to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, James Bond, and more!

Oh yeah, I just redid my other site. Check it at the left ("Chikorita4Life").

New Songs Posted Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 6:25 PM by TSH
I've added a whole boatload of songs to the music database. From the original 39, I've stepped it up to 68 song! That's a 29 song upgrade! Features songs from Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo64. Some songs may not work, though, as I am sorting through it still.

...Hmph. Posted Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at 4:57 PM by TSH
To make a long story short, we've been rejected for the free webspace for no reason at all... I guess they really were "reserving their right to reject your site for little or no reason at all". Oh well. There's other hosts, and I'll keep looking!

Judgement Day? Posted Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at 11:38 AM by TSH
I've had some people checking out my site... worried about that. Hoping they accept us for their free webspace. We'll see!

Oh Quizzes are still up, even though they aren't finished yet. We'll see for that, too OK... later.

I've finally finished the N64 section. About time too, huh? Oh yeah, I also updated the downloads (the Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire commercial is gone! Time was up, but it will be brought back with enough demand), and I also fixed the Search program. That's it for right now.

I'm Back! Posted Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 6:37 PM by TSH
I had a great trip, and I'm back to update s'more. Hope everyone's enjoyed themselves while I was gone...

I'm planning on making some minor updates to the site. I tried to set up a forum but that didn't work too well. I guess I'll have to keep looking.

Happy Turkey-Day Posted Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 9:19 PM by TSH
I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! I probably won't be updating for the next few days because I'm going to be out of town, so I'm hoping Ash can keep ya satisfied 'till then. Again, stuff yourselves silly and have fun! Gobble gobble!

Broken Promises Posted Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 5:04 PM by TSH
I feel really horrible about this, but I've been having too many problems lately with the Awards program that I mentioned earlier. I plan on getting it up ASAP, but it's becoming increasingly difficult.

I plan on adding some classical music to the Music section, so it'll add an even more 'classy' elegance to the site. Plus, I'm planning on finding some Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire MIDIs to add.

Op-in, Log-out Posted Monday, November 25, 2002 at 5:05 PM by TSH

Oh... Some new Pokémon names were released! This is so exciting. I'm so happy.

More CGI On The Way Posted Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 2:43 PM by TSH

The Redirector Detector Posted Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 6:05 PM by TSH
Okay, well I've found the good 'ole http://pokemon4life.cjb.net address still works... and as always, I'm going to keep it up for your convenience. But I still think you should know about http://www.pokemon4life.tk and use that address, just because it runs so much better and it's shorter. So, please use that one if you can.

That's all for now!

Glossary & Pokémon Community Posted Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 5:28 PM by TSH
Well, I'm working on a Glossary index for those hard to know terms, okay? It'll have a list of what certain things mean, and all you'll have to do is click on one to see it's meaning, etc.

The Pokémon Community is an awesome community messageboard with hundreds of people already joined in! Discussions about websites, TCG, GameBoy, and so much more! Pokecommunity.com!

Pokémon HTML Battler BETA v1.0 Posted Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 4:37 PM by TSH
The public beta of the Pokémon HTML Battler is almost ready to be packaged for distribution. I'm hoping it looks good.

The NewsPro setup is working out fine, despite several protests from friends about the banner. Other than that... it's fine!

Banner Posted Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 7:46 PM by TSH
Hey, me again. I'd like to apologize, first of all, about the banner ad at the top of this page. It even annoys me.

Second of all, I'll be coming out with some Ruby/Sapphire info later, but right now, I'm just working on the primary layout of the site. Happy birthday to the site, again! ^_^

News Account Posted Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 5:36 PM by TSH

Oh, and I've totally been working on the site lately. The Pokémon HTML Battler v1.0 BETA 1 is to be released as a public beta soon. Don't know when, yet.
